Performed several updates and added new functionality to existing applications and Stored Procedures (VB.Net 2.0/SQL Server 2005) Migrated an application designed in Classic ASP to ASP.NET framework 3.5. -
02/2007 - 05/2008 Sr Programmer	El Día Directo	Guaynabo, PR
Maintained and improved a web application made in VB.Net (framework 1.1) used to collect claims for clients of a financial institution. Made reports using Crystal Reports for the managers of the application. Improved a DTS that converted the clients of the financial institution to users of the claims application. For this I had to create an application in vb.net that transferred some text files from an FTP location to a directory on the server so that the DTS could read them. Developed several applications for a call center using VB.Net (framework 2.0), SQL Server (TSQL)) and reports for the managers of the call center. Also had the opportunity to maintain several call center applications made in C#. Maintained the SQL Server Databases that were assigned to my applications, and improved the Stored Procedures of several applications. -
04/2005 - 01/2007 PRogrammer Analyst	PR Hospital Supply	Carolina, PR
Responsible for the maintenance and improvement of several applications that assisted a warehouse, call center, and the sales department. Most of the applications were developed in VB6 with intensive Crystal Reports use. Maintained and improved a web application designed for the sales department to track sales and the service level of each associate. The application was designed in VB.net 1.1 with several parts done as a different application in framework 2.0; I was responsible for the migration of the application that was made in 1.1 to the 2.0 framework. Designed and developed an application to assist the warehouse department track the delivery orders. The application was made using .Net Compact Framework (2.0), SQL Server CE and transmitted the information back to the company servers using a GPRS signal. Responsible for giving support to the end users of the applications. -
02/2003 - 04/2005 LAN Administrator/Programmer	Coneco de Puerto Rico	Carolina, PR
Responsible for keeping the network and computers running at optimal performance, gave support to its users and kept the network secure. Managed and maintained an Exchange server with over 70 accounts, an ISA Server, an ISS Server, a File Share Server, CISCO Router, Switches and hubs. Developed internal web applications using ASP.Net and SQL Server. Developed internal applications for the Sales department using Visual Basic and SQL Server. Designed and implemented the backup system and documentation that was used with Veritas Backup Exec 9.0. -
